2026 Umatilla County Fair Court
The Fair Court Princesses are a major part of the Umatilla County Fair and an honored tradition. These young ladies work hard all year round representing the Umatilla County Fair throughout NE Oregon & SE Washington, while learning and growing as young adults.
We're honored to be able to highlight the achievements of these young women.
Princess Dena Loiland & Princess Morgan Harris

Princess Dena Loiland
Grade 12, Athena, OR
Dena Loiland brings a wealth of competitive experience and leadership to the Umatilla County Fair Court. A dedicated exhibitor since 2018, she has competed in livestock, communications, and home economics projects. Her impressive 2024–2025 season includes being named the Overall Reserve Grand Champion Market Goat at UCF, the 509 Show Circuit Skillathon Champion, and the Oregon State Fair Public Speaking Champion.
Dena’s leadership is evidenced by her four years as a Weston-McEwen FFA Chapter Officer and her role as a 509 Ambassador, where she collaborated with her team to fundraise and lead leadership classes. Her commitment to excellence extends to her academics, having maintained a position on the honor roll since 2018 and being recognized as the 2025 WM FFA Outstanding Junior Student. Additionally, she represents Oregon on the 2025 National 4-H Quiz Bowl and Skillathon teams.
Outside of the show ring, Dena enjoys cooking, being outdoors, and spending time with friends and family. Inspired by the encouragement she received from past Fair Courts and seeing her older sister serve in 2024, Dena is eager to give back to her county. She plans to attend a four-year university to obtain a Veterinary Science degree with the ultimate goal of becoming a licensed veterinarian. As a member of the Fair Court, Dena strives to greet everyone with a smile and provide the same encouragement to others that helped her succeed.

Princess Morgan Harris
Grade 9, Echo, OR
Morgan Harris is a freshman at Echo High School with a deep-rooted passion for agriculture and the Umatilla County Fair. Since the age of 5, she has been an active participant in 4-H, moving from Cloverbuds to showing market steers, dairy heifers, and numerous static exhibits. Her dedication to the fair shined in 2024, where she took first place in dairy judging and sent three food items to the State Fair.
A natural leader and dedicated multi-sport athlete, Morgan balances a rigorous schedule playing volleyball, basketball, and softball. Her experience competing at the state level has instilled in her a deep sense of responsibility and the ability to anchor a team through high-pressure situations. This spirit of leadership extends to the fair barn, where she enjoys teaching less experienced youth how to fit their animals for competition.
Morgan is also deeply committed to her community. She serves as a volunteer firefighter with the Echo Fire Department, where she is currently working toward her CPR certification. Looking to the future, Morgan hopes to play collegiate softball while pursuing a degree in the veterinary field or agricultural business so she can return home to work on her family’s farm.
By serving on the Fair Court, Morgan is excited to step out of her comfort zone to improve her public speaking and gain a "behind-the-scenes" look at the year-round effort required to host the Umatilla County Fair.
